About the Rice Purity Test
The Rice Purity Test is a 100-question survey that originated at Rice University. It's designed to gauge a person's life experiences, often in social, romantic, and rule-breaking contexts. While it started as a fun icebreaker for new students, it has since become an internet phenomenon, taken by millions worldwide.
The test is not a scientific measure of "purity" or character. Instead, it's a way to reflect on your experiences and see how they compare to others. The questions cover a wide range of activities, from innocent firsts to more adventurous, and sometimes risky, behaviors.
Understanding Your Score
Your score is calculated by subtracting the number of questions you answered "yes" to from 100. A higher score indicates fewer experienced activities, while a lower score suggests a wider range of life experiences.
- 90-100: Generally considered very "pure" or innocent. You might be younger or have a more reserved nature.
- 70-89: A common range for many people. You've had some typical life experiences but haven't ventured into wilder territories.
- 40-69: You've had your fair share of adventures and are likely not afraid to step out of your comfort zone.
- Below 40: You have lived a very eventful life, full of diverse and perhaps intense experiences.
Remember, there's no "good" or "bad" score. It's all for fun and self-reflection.
